Catherine Azar, MD has been practicing general oncology for over 25 years.

During her career, she has served as:

  • Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona
  • Principal Investigator at the Colorado Cancer Research Program
  • Co-Regional Division Chief of the Colorado Permanente Medical Group
  • Medical Director of the Denver Hospice West Team in Denver, Colorado

She has co-authored multiple papers on the topics of leukemia, colon cancer, and breast cancer and has been published in multiple journals including The Journal of Clinical Oncology. Many of her articles stem from her work in clinical trials.

Dr. Azar was awarded the Robert Fr. Berris, MD Award for Outstanding Commitment to Community Cancer Research, Colorado Cancer Research Program.
