Dr. Khalaf is board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. She is committed to providing appropriate cancer care for all patients with respect to their values, goals, and wishes.

Medicine and especially oncology attracted Dr. Khalaf from a young age after she witnessed the effects advanced cancer had on her own family. It inspired her to research the latest advancements in treatment to deliver better care to cancer patients.

Dr. Khalaf conducted clinical research at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center. In addition, she completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. During this time, she was honored by the American College of Physicians (ACP) as a Young Achiever. Following her internship, she completed a Geriatrics Fellowship at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and a Medical Oncology and Hematology Fellowship from East Tennessee State University, where she was named Chief Fellow. She also received the Dr. Thomas G. Ronald Award for Excellence in the Care of the Cancer Patient.

Dr. Khalaf treats all types of cancer and has clinical interests in breast, gastrointestinal (GI), and malignant hematology. She speaks fluent English and Arabic. In her spare time, she enjoys walking and painting.
